It appears that Formula One racing is coming to the Austin area, but the project has been shrouded in secrecy and the process has taken place with little public input. Promoter Tavo Hellmund kept the whole thing out of public view for three years, and there is still a whole lot we don’t know. Certainly a questionable practice for a project of this magnitude — greatly dependent on public funding, and with such great potential for environmental impact.
